    Urothelial cancer (UC) is classified as a “field change” disease.


    Recurrence of urethral cancer in patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC) is a relatively rare event, with a reported incidence of about 3-6%

    Among 144 patients with recurrence of urethral cancer, 63 patients were diagnosed with recurrence of urethral cancer based on their symptoms, and 104 patients with recurrent urethral cancer underwent ureterectomy.


    Patients with recurrent symptomatic urethral cancer have a higher tumor stage during ureterectomy.


    Carcinoma in situ, multifocal lesions and prostatic urethral involvement are the pathological risk factors for recurrence of urethral cancer after radical cystectomy.
