China News Online, March 30 (Chen Jing and Sun Guogen) The reporter learned on the 30th that a research team led by Professor Kan Haidong from the School of Public Health of Fudan University conducted a multi-center study on 398 cities around the world and found that atmospheric nitrogen dioxide pollution has a significant impact on the public.
The study revealed that it is very important to further reduce the concentration limit of nitrogen dioxide.
Professor Kan Haidong introduced in an interview on the 30th that nitrogen dioxide is a typical traffic source air pollutant and an important part of urban air pollution, and its health hazards cannot be ignored.
Kan Haidong's research team collected environmental and health data from 398 cities in 22 countries and regions, and took the lead in studying the impact of daily nitrogen dioxide and daily mortality of people at a global level.
The study suggests that the nitrogen dioxide concentration limit should be tightened to further reduce the level of nitrogen dioxide air pollution.
