ADNOC partnered with Proman to develop a world-class methanol facility
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed an agreement with Proman, one of the world's leading methanol producers, to develop the UAE's first world-class methanol production facility
in the Ta'Ziz Industrial Chemical Zone in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi.
Under the terms of the agreement, Abu Dhabi Chemical Derivatives Company (Ta'Ziz) and Proman, a joint venture between ADNOC and ADQ, an investment and holding company based in Abu Dhabi, will build a gas-to-methanol facility with an estimated capacity of 1.
8 million tonnes
per annum.
The proposed collaboration will leverage ADNOC's attractive value proposition for downstream petrochemicals, ADQ's diverse portfolio, and Proman's extensive construction and operations expertise
as the world's second-largest methanol producer.
The facility will meet the growing demand
for this clean and versatile chemical commodity at home and abroad.
