On October 7, the European Union Committee of Household Appliance Manufacturers (CECE) issued an announcement to revise
the exhaust emission regulations.
On 25 September, the European Commission adopted a proposal
to amend the European Emissions Certification (NRMM).
CECE welcomed suggestions on the way forward, emission limit requirements, engine replacement and concerns of equipment manufacturers, and requested that the proposals be detailed
.
The draft regulation sets new NRMM emission limits for 2019~2020 based on market
forecasts.
The new draft will not consider the power range of the equipment, combustion cycle and fuel, raise the requirements for emission limits, and introduce a limit
on the number of particles (PN) in power class 19~560KW.
In addition, the President of CECE will hold a joint meeting with CECE-CEMA-FEM, and if the meeting goes well, the new regulations will take effect
in January 2016.
