Issue 43/2015 - 12% of advanced composite materials for large aircraft in China

On November 2, after seven years of design and development, the first C919 large passenger aircraft rolled off the assembly line at the Pudong base of COMAC's newly built final assembly
manufacturing center.
This not only marks the official completion of the docking of most sections of the body and the installation of the airborne system of the first C919 aircraft, which has reached the state of ground testing, but also marks that the development stage of the C919 large passenger aircraft project has achieved phased results, laying a solid foundation
for the next first flight.

For advanced aerodynamic layout, structural materials and airborne systems, the developers have planned a total of 102 key technologies, including aircraft engine integration design, fly-by-wire flight control system control law design, active control technology, etc

Advanced materials are used on a large scale in domestic civil aircraft for the first time, and the third-generation aluminum-lithium alloy materials and advanced composite materials are used in the structure of the C919 body to reach 8.

on China's economic and scientific and technological development, the progress of basic disciplines and the development of aviation industry.
According to statistics, 22 provinces and cities, more than 200 enterprises, 36 colleges and universities, and hundreds of thousands of industrial personnel have participated in the development of
C919 large passenger aircraft.
