Evonik's new TEGO® VariPlus LK abrasive resins
have an increasing impact on their products due to increasingly stringent emission limits for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which in turn puts coating manufacturers under increasing restrictions on
the selection of raw materials.

The new abrasive resin TEGO?VariPlus LK from Evonik significantly reduces the VOC content in concentrated pigments used in solventborne coatings and thus the overall VOC content
in formulated coatings.
For paint manufacturers, this means greater formulation freedom, more flexible raw material options and a wider range of paint colors
.
Since the abrasive resin is liquid, solution processing can also be
omitted.
The new resin reduces the viscosity of the concentrate and thus optimizes the pigment load.

In combination with the dispersant TEGO?Dispers 676, the VOC content in the concentrate can be reduced by up to 75%.
