Recently, the industrial application project of the process of reducing the sodium salt content in crude nitrobenzene undertaken by Sinopec Nanhua Research Institute passed the project appraisal
organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Sinopec.

This project is the first to apply coalescence separation technology to nitrobenzene washing and separation, and developed a new process to reduce the sodium salt content in crude nitrobenzene, which can reduce the sodium salt content in crude nitrobenzene to less than

The process has been industrially applied to the 180,000-ton nitrobenzene plant of Nanhua Company, realizing the continuous and stable operation
of the plant.
