At the China International Medical Device Design & Technology Exhibition held in Shanghai on September 25~26, Clariant showcased a wide range of innovative products and solutions in the field of medical devices and technologies, with a focus on its MEVOPUR polymers and packaging solutions
dedicated to the medical industry.
Based on the pre-evaluation of masterbatch raw materials, Clariant continues to develop and launch a range of products, including MEVOPUR nucleating agents, fining agents and laser marking additives, as well as a new range of white masterbatches
for parenteral, ophthalmic and rhinal solutions.
These products meet regulatory needs, support the production of attractive pharmaceutical packaging, optimize functional equipment, and increase production efficiency
.
At the trade fair, Clariant showcased its precutaneous syringe needle and catheter interface masterbatch color sleeves that comply with the latest ISO standards to continue to support standardization and compliance
in the healthcare industry.
The company also showcased a standard masterbatch color set for caps and closures of ophthalmic pharmaceutical packaging that meets global compliance standards, and launched the MEVOPUR brand
customized to the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) color standards.
At the same time, Clariant introduced the USP/ISO standardized color set
.
Not only can the color set be quickly applied to a range of polymers, but it also uses biologically evaluated masterbatch raw
materials that meet the requirements of ISO10993-1 and USP 23 Parts 87 and 88 (Class VI).
The standard color set can be applied to high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and is expected to be applied to polypropylene polymer carrier materials in the future, making it suitable for polymers
commonly used on caps and closures.
