Henan Energy and Chemical Group Company recently reported that its coal gasification company has made new breakthroughs
in optimizing production technology and comprehensive utilization of CO gas.
Under the condition of reducing the load of acetic acid production by 50%, the new process can make full use of about 6000Nm3/hCO gas to increase the production of methanol, which can increase the production of methanol by 6171 tons per month, equivalent to about 3.

Before this technological innovation was put into use, whenever the acetic acid plant was shut down or the load was low, the CO gas transported from the natural gas section could only pass through the air conditioning section, resulting in a large loss
of high-purity CO.
After many trials and calculations, the company's technicians finally solved this problem
by adding a new pipeline.
If the acetic acid plant is loaded, the cryogenic separation product gas CO in the natural gas section can partially enter the PSA adsorption tail gas pipeline through the newly installed pipeline and be sent to the methanol plant
through the non-permeable gas pipeline.
