BASF will be showcasing a range of chemical solutions for the leather industry at ACLE 2015 at the end of August, including advanced products
to reduce carbon and toxic emissions from tanneries, water and energy consumption.
At the show, BASF will present its DryFast Preparation Section System, which combines the advantages of a wide range of products and solutions to significantly reduce water and energy consumption and processing time
in tanneries.
The system reduces the chemical content in the wastewater and eliminates multiple cleaning steps through an optimised combination of process steps
.
In addition, BASF will showcase a next-generation finishing and beautification solution for automotive leather, which can effectively achieve product durability that is 20% higher than the market standard.
It meets the most stringent OEM requirements
for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and consumer safety.
Also on display was the 3S (Excellence, Safety, Simplicity) surface finishing system for facial finishing, which not only sets new standards for fastness in the industry, but also significantly reduces product complexity, ensuring a simple finishing process and ease of
operation.
