Transparent polyamide products make eyewear design more freeEvonik
will present an innovative frame-making technology at this year's International Optical Exhibition (MIDO): IMPLEX products based on the high-performance transparent nylon material TROGAMID?, which gives eyewear manufacturers greater design freedom

Unlike traditional production processes, this innovative technology cuts a single curved preformed frame sheet directly into the finished product, eliminating the need for post-injection mold production and completion steps
.
Pre-formed products consist of multiple functional layers – basic frames made of TROGAMID?, adhesives and coatings, or scratch-resistant films
.
These functional layers can be made separately, the process is convenient and flexible, and different sizes and curvature radii
can be selected according to needs.

With two material solutions from Evonik, this innovative product meets the different needs of customers: The TROGAMID CX9704 is a transparent polyamide for frame base frames whose bending properties allow manufacturers to achieve more product shapes

The second structural layer is made of TROGAMID?CX9711 and offers excellent processability and excellent chemical resistance
