On June 5, the U.
S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an announcement exempting residue limits for aluminum sulfate and n-butyl benzoate
.
The new regulations will take effect from the date of promulgation, and the deadline for comments is August 4
, 2015.
The new regulation is as follows: aluminum sulfate is exempted from the residue limit when it is used as a pesticide additive in food contact surfaces used in public eating places, dairy processing equipment, food processing equipment and dishwashing fungicides, and the final use concentration does not exceed 50 ppm
.
N-butyl benzoate is exempted from residue limits when used as an additive solvent for pesticides used in cultivated crops, unprocessed agricultural products and animals after receipt, and as an additive in food contact surface disinfection products at end-use concentrations not exceeding 15,000 ppm
.
