New release agents and pressure-sensitive adhesives meet the need for high flexibility

Recently, Dow's Performance Silicones business unit of DowDuPont's Materials Science Division launched advanced silicone release agents and pressure-sensitive adhesives
for high-performance release films and protective films at APFO 2017 in Shenzhen.

To meet the need for greater flexibility in thin-film release applications and the growing demand for PET film substrates in the Chinese market, Dow Performance Silicones has developed Syl-Off?EM-7953 release agent, which can be used for in-line and off-line coating of PET film substrates, providing low stable peel force
    at lower coating volumes.

Dow Corning??) 7687 Pressure Sensitive Adhesive for Protective Film is a high solids content/high adhesion platinum curable pressure sensitive adhesive designed for customers who require high adhesion and can be more effectively applied to the formulation of protective film coatings
    .
The new pressure-sensitive adhesive is formulated more cost-effectively than older models, enabling Dow Performance Silicones to develop new high-adhesion optical-grade film/tape applications
while maintaining its existing application business.

To address the pain points of ultra-light peel force applications, Dow Performance Silicones has developed a new fluorosilicone release agent for silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive wet adhesive coating, Syl-Off?7792 fluorosilicone release agent for dry glue compounding, to provide lighter peel force and improve compatibility
with silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives in this division.

Also on display are a variety of release agents for release films (including Syl-Off SL 9106 release agent, Syl-Off 7200 light peel force additive, Syl-Off SB 9186 release agent and Syl-Off?LTC series) and silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives for protective films (e.
    g.
    Dow Corning?).
7660 Adhesive, Dow Corning? 7666 adhesives such as low-adhesion platinum-cured pressure-sensitive adhesives and Dow Corning??Cooper (Dow Corning??) 7667 Adhesive, Dow Corning? 7657 Adhesive and Dow Corning? 7687 adhesive and other high-adhesion platinum cured pressure-sensitive adhesives).

Compared to non-silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives, silicone PSA offers significant advantages for these applications, including: better spreadability and heat resistance, more stable adhesion control and adhesion, higher optical clarity (resistance to yellowing), no peeling residue, and better reset properties
    .
