Air Products to Acquire GE Gasification Business and Technology
On November 6, Air Products announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire GE's gasification business and technology
.

The gasification business acquired by Air Products includes GE's stake
in its 50-50 joint venture with China Shenhua Coal-to-Oils Chemical Co.
Ltd.
The acquisition also includes more than 1,000 patents
related to GE gasification technologies.
The acquisition involves approximately 50 wholly-owned and joint venture employees
.
The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed
to the public.
The acquisition is expected to close
subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and satisfying other customary closing conditions.

"The acquisition of GE Gasification Technologies and businesses complements our recently completed other gasification technology acquisitions and strategic alliances
," said Simin Ge, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Products.
Together, these transactions extend our on-site gas generation model to syngas supply and provide cross-selling opportunities
for our other technologies and products.
