Clariant showcases leading lithium-ion battery materials

On June 18~20, at the 11th China International Battery Technology Exchange Conference (CIBF) held in Shenzhen, Clariant will showcase the industry's leading lithium battery materials

Life Power® P2 is ideal for lithium batteries in the following areas, including starting batteries (SLIs), hybrid vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), electric vehicles (EVs), power tools, large energy storage batteries and defense applications requiring ultra-high power

At present, the product has been widely used in the production of
lithium ferrous phosphate batteries.

The superiority of Life Power® P2 stems from its excellent material safety: unlike traditional nickel- and cobalt-based cathode materials, lithium ferrous phosphate does not release free oxygen and therefore does not cause a fire or explosion, which explains why Life Power® P2 is particularly suitable for hybrid or pure electric vehicles
for energy storage applications.
Lithium ferrous phosphate can exist in nature in both the charged state (iron manganese phosphate ore) and the discharge state (lithium iron phosphate ore), so both natural minerals are very stable
