    The application of low NOx burner in autonomous cracking furnace was successful

    The low-nitrogen oxide (NOx) burner for the cracking furnace independently developed by Tianhua Chemical Machinery and Automation Research and Design Institute Co.

    has been successfully put into operation on the ethylene cracking furnace plant of Maoming Petrochemical for more than a month

    At present, the low NOx burner is running smoothly, and the NOx emission has dropped from about 150mg/m3 to less than
    80mg/m3.
    This marks that China's pyrolysis furnace burner technology has stepped to a new level, which not only provides an opportunity for China's ethylene cracker burner to get rid of long-term imports, but also lays a solid foundation for
    the green development of ethylene chemical industry.

    China's ethylene cracking furnace burner technology has long been monopolized by foreign patenters, especially large-scale cracker burners rely heavily on imports

    At present, most of the NOx emissions of operating burners (including imported equipment) exceed 100mg/m3

    As a major research and development institution of combustion technology in China, Tianhua Institute has a scientific research team for the research and development of burners for ethylene cracking furnaces, the world's most advanced fluid dynamics calculation (CFD) simulation software and thermal test equipment

    Among the 11 100,000 tons/year cracking furnaces of Tianjin Petrochemical's million-ton ethylene plant, one of the bottom burners of the cracking furnace adopts a new burner

    According to expert appraisal, compared with the introduced burner, the self-developed new burner flame is more powerful and has better

    All 1,104 burners in the cracking plant of Wuhan's 800,000 tons/year ethylene project have adopted the products of the institute, which have been running well since August 2013, with flat and straight flames, meeting the requirements of heat flux curve, low excess air coefficient, low noise, and are well received
