The device adopts the process
of continuous hydrogenation of maleic anhydride to prepare succinic anhydride developed by Henan Energy and Shanxi University.
Li Jiang, chief engineer of Hebi Fine Chemicals, said that at present, the production load of the device has reached 130% of the design load, realizing continuous feeding and continuous discharging, stable reaction, easy temperature control, no obvious side reactions, basically no waste water and waste gas, and achieving clean production
.
According to reports, in 2010, the company cooperated with Shanxi University to develop a thousand-ton maleic anhydride hydrogenation to succinic anhydride co-production project, and completed an annual output of 3,000 tons of industrialized demonstration process package
after collecting data in small and pilot tests.
In October 2014, an industrialization demonstration plant was built in Hebi Fine Chemical Company, and after 3 months of trial production, the conversion rate of raw materials of the device reached more than 99%, the purity of the product reached more than 99.
5%, and the indicators reached the level of
imported products from the Netherlands.
This makes the plant the first industrial plant
in China to continuously produce succinic anhydride using maleic anhydride as raw material.
The process uses a catalyst
developed by Shanxi University that can achieve directional synthesis of succinic anhydride under mild conditions.
The catalyst has the advantages of
high activity and long service life.
The main reactor adopts a fixed bed reactor in and out of hydrogen and reaction solution, and applies a special heat withdrawal method to evenly withdraw the reaction heat, which effectively controls the average operating temperature of the entire reactor and balances the reaction heat in the main reactor
.
At the same time, the maleic anhydride solution and hydrogen adopt the flow mode of parallel upward flow, which reduces and controls the local hot spot temperature while realizing the balanced control of the reaction temperature of the entire reactor, and avoids the occurrence
of carbon deposition and coking of reactants.
It is understood that succinic anhydride is widely used in medicine, pesticides, fine chemicals, alkyd resins and other fields, and was previously mainly imported
from the Netherlands.
The successful development of this process will greatly alleviate the current situation of succinic anhydride shortage at home and abroad, activate the new coal chemical industry chain of coking benzene → maleic anhydride→ succinic anhydride (succinic acid) → PBS, realize the upgrading and transformation of the tar chemical industry chain, promote the formation of a high-tech industrial group of fine chemicals with coal as the source, and improve the comprehensive utilization value
of coal.
