Arkema acquires a stake in battery manufacturing startup Verkor

On July 7, Arkema officially became a shareholder and technology partner of Verkor, a French start-up specializing in the production of high-performance
batteries.

Arkema contributed millions of euros to Verkor's latest €100 million financing round, which will help build the Verkor Innovation Center near Grenoble and then launch the first gigafactory dedicated to battery production, which is expected to begin in
2023.
The Innovation Center, which will open in 2022, will provide a collaborative space
for optimizing smart industrial processes and creating a new generation of batteries.
