Guoxuan Hi-Tech will build a new 10,000-ton lithium carbonate plant in Argentina
On June 24, Guoxuan Hi-Tech (USA) Co.
, Ltd.
and Jujuy National Energy Mining Company (hereinafter referred to as "JEMSE") signed a cooperation agreement in Argentina, and the two parties decided to establish a joint venture Guoxuan Jujuy Mining Co.
, Ltd.
to plan the construction of battery-grade lithium carbonate production line
.
With this agreement, the two parties agreed to establish a joint venture company to establish and operate a battery-grade lithium carbonate refinery in the Perrico Free Trade Zone in Jujuy Province, Argentina, to carry out the research and development and production of lithium carbonate and other related products, and plan to build a 10,000 tons/year battery-grade lithium carbonate production line in advance, and plan to build the second phase of 50,000 tons/year battery-grade lithium carbonate production line
according to market demand in the later stage.
Under the agreement, JEMSE will be responsible for the exploration of potential local lithium resources and the provision of other mining rights, as well as the supply
of industrial-grade lithium carbonate at the project.
Guoxuan Hi-Tech will provide support
in terms of technology.
The two sides also decided to cooperate
on downstream businesses of the lithium industry such as cathode materials and lithium battery manufacturing.
