The antibacterial double-layer PVDF hollow fiber membrane was successfully prepared
Recently, the functional film team of the polymer division of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences prepared a double-layer polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fiber membrane
enriched with antibacterial silver ions through double-layer co-extrusion technology.
Previously, the researchers of the team have prepared a double continuous structure PVDF membrane and a hollow fiber membrane with good antibacterial properties by non-solvent induction assisted thermophase separation, on this basis, in order to reduce the amount of antibacterial silver-loaded molecular sieve and improve the antibacterial efficiency of polyvinylidene fluoride hollow fiber membrane, the researchers further enriched the silver-loaded molecular sieve in the outer layer of the double-layer membrane through double-layer co-extrusion, and used dry spray - PVDF hollow fiber membrane
with antibacterial properties was prepared by wet spinning.
The antibacterial content of the double-layer membrane prepared this time is only 54% of the mono-layer membrane, but it shows close to or even better antibacterial performance and antibacterial adhesion performance, while the water flux and other properties do not decrease
.
As a membrane material with excellent performance, PVDF is widely used
in the field of separation membranes.
The microfiltration and ultrafiltration hollow fiber membranes prepared by it have achieved large-scale industrial production
in household water purification systems, sewage treatment, seawater desalination, etc.
However, in the process of using the membrane, in addition to organic matter and inorganic matter, microorganisms are also one of
the main factors causing membrane pollution.
In view of membrane pollution caused by bacteria and other microorganisms, it is particularly important
to prepare a membrane with antibacterial properties.
