worldwide.
WACKER plans to gradually increase its total annual production capacity of specialty silicone rubber by 40,000 metric tons by 2021 by expanding several production sites, and has allocated around EUR 100 million for this purpose
.
WACKER plans to expand its production capacity
for liquid silicone rubber, high- and room-temperature-curing silicone rubber and thermally conductive silicone compounds in Burghausen (Germany), Adrian (Michigan, USA) and Zhangjiagang (China) in 2019.
The construction of a solid silicone production line
at the Charleston site in Tennessee, USA, is currently being considered and studied.
The site will be operational with a pyrogenic silica production line
in 2019.
