Anindya Sinha, an adviser to India's Ministry of Coal, said that India plans to reduce coal imports to 135 million tonnes
in the 2023-24 fiscal year.
In FY 2018-19, India's coal imports reached 235 million tonnes, in other words, Indian coal imports will decrease by 100 million tonnes, or 42.
