India added a record 1,538MW of rooftop solar capacity in the 12 months to September 2018, up 75%
year-on-year, according to the latest report from consultancy Bridge to India.
Analysts have been pessimistic about this in recent years, with the "Solar Roof Map of India" showing that cumulative installations reached 3,399MW by the end of September this year, and are expected to reach 15.
