Data released by China's General Administration of Customs showed that China's exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products increased for the third consecutive month in January, which contributed to the large spread between the Shanghai Futures Exchange and the London Metal Exchange
.

Aluminum exports in January were 445,000 tons, up 1.
1% from December last year and 14.
1% from 390,000 tons in the same period last year, hitting the highest level
since June last year.
