According to news, data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) on its website shows that the global copper market supply shortage was 212,600 tons from January to December 2017, and 102,000 tons
in 2016.
Global reportable copper stocks increased by 1,500 tonnes at end-December 2017, up 1,500 tonnes
from end-December 2016.
