It is reported that the vocational qualification examination for licensed pharmacists is divided into two professional categories: pharmacy and Chinese pharmacy.

The pharmacy examination subjects are: pharmacy professional knowledge (1), pharmacy professional knowledge (2), pharmacy management and regulations, and comprehensive pharmacy knowledge and skills.

The examination subjects of Chinese pharmacy are: Chinese pharmacy professional knowledge (1), Chinese pharmacy professional knowledge (2), pharmaceutical management and regulations, and comprehensive knowledge and skills of Chinese pharmacy.

According to the news, those who take the vocational qualification examination for licensed pharmacists should pass the examinations of all subjects within four consecutive examination years; those who are exempt from some subjects must pass the examination subjects within two consecutive examination years.

At the same time, the news also pointed out that starting from 2019, relevant majors are required to "have a corresponding increase in the number of years of work in pharmacy or Chinese pharmacy by one year" in terms of application requirements than pharmacy and Chinese pharmacy majors.
