The reporter learned from the Hongshan District People's Court in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, that the court recently pronounced a verdict on a case of dangerous operation, and the defendants Yu and Li were sentenced to 6 months
in prison for illegally transporting and selling refined oil.

Since February this year, the defendant Yu has hired drivers Chen and Li (both of which have been dealt with separately) and escorts Zhang and Wang (both of whom have been dealt with separately) without approval or permission to purchase gasoline from other provinces and sell it to illegal refueling points
in Hongshan District and other places.

From April to May, without obtaining a license to sell refined oil and operate hazardous chemicals, defendant Li purchased gasoline from a certain place, and the drivers Chen and Li and escorts Zhang and Wang were transported to Li's modified truck for storage, and then sold to the outside world
    .

On May 13, Li was captured by inspectors and 3,013 liters
of gasoline were seized in his truck on the spot.
On June 7, inspectors seized three fuel tankers owned by Yu, and a total of 5,344 liters
of gasoline were seized in two of them.

After investigation, Yu's gasoline delivery vehicle did not drive according to the permitted route, and the refueling equipment used by Li did not pass the safety factor and qualification appraisal
    of relevant departments.

After trial, the court held that the defendants Yu and Li violated national laws and regulations by illegally engaging in the business activities of dangerous goods without approval or permission according to law, and there was a real risk of serious casualties or other serious consequences, and their acts constituted the crime of
    dangerous operation.

It is reported that on March 1, 2021, the crime of dangerous operation was officially criminalized, and for the first time, relevant behaviors that did not have major casualties or serious consequences in the field of production safety, but had real dangers, were included in the scope of criminal law crackdown, and relevant parties were investigated for criminal responsibility
