Recently, German solar developer ib vogt completed the Scaldia photovoltaic project, the largest solar park in the Netherlands with a capacity of 54.
5MW and more than 140,000 solar panels
.
The plant was developed in the municipalities of Borsele and Vlissingen, and the site is expected to prevent 738,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions
over a 30-year life cycle.
IB Vogt acquired the rights
to develop the project from developer Solarpark Zeeland in February.
HSH Nordbank provided $53 million in financing
prior to construction on the site.
The construction of the plant was completed in just half a year
.
The PV project covers an area of 38 hectares and uses east-west photovoltaic panels to achieve optimal use of
land and power generation.
Over the next 30 years, the installation will generate 51 MWh of renewable energy, which is equivalent to the energy
consumed by about 14,000 households.
