Huntsman Announces Acquisition of Icynene-Lapolla

On December 5, Huntsman Corporation announced that it has agreed to acquire Icynene-Lapolla, a leading North American manufacturer and distributor of residential and commercial spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation systems, from a subsidiary of FFL Partners, LLC

Icynene-Lapolla has annual revenue of about $230 million and has two manufacturing facilities in Houston, Texas and Mississauga, Ontario

Commenting on the acquisition, Tony Hankins, president of Huntsman's Polyurethanes business, said: "I am delighted that Icynene-Lapolla has joined our downstream high-growth MDI polyurethane insulation business

Huntsman Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Huntsman further commented: "As the need for energy efficiency in residential and commercial buildings continues to grow, the combination of these two companies will provide Huntsman with the largest jetting in the world.
