Recently, Sunseap Group, a Singapore-based clean energy provider, has signed a contract
with German energy storage company Hoppecke Asia Pacific.
Under the contract, Hoppecke will provide storage systems
for the Sunseap hybrid off-grid solar system at Tanglin Academy, Singapore's largest tennis academy.
In 2016, Sunseap donated a 15kW solar system
to the college.
Hoppecke's 17kWh advanced sealed lead-acid battery will help Tanglin Academy further reduce its carbon footprint
.
Solar energy generated during the day can be stored and discharged on cloudy days or at night to illuminate the college's tennis courts
.
The collaboration will be Sunseap's future testbed
for the launch of hybrid off-grid energy solutions on a commercial scale.
It will not only help the hospital harness more clean energy, but also reduce its reliance on
diesel generators currently used to supplement solar energy generated by solar panels.
Hoppecke's director said, "Sunseap's hybrid energy system is an innovative solution that makes efficient use of solar energy while reducing CO2 emissions
.
Our Hoppecke range of solar cells is the ideal complement to this system, offering excellent stability and long service life
even when the battery is partially charged.
