CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology is considered to be one of the most important breakthroughs in biotechnology since the 21st century , and won the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry .
The result was published as "Blood-brain barrier-penetrating single CRISPR-Cas9 nanocapsules for effective and safe glioblastoma gene therapy" , Henan University is the first unit, Associate Professor Zou Yan, and postgraduate Sun Xinhong are the co-first authors of the paper, and Professor Bing Yang , Professor Zheng Meng is the co-corresponding author

Henan University - Macquarie University Biomedical Joint Innovation Center was established in September 2015 based on the School of Life Sciences, Henan University , and was subsequently approved by the Henan Provincial Nanobiomedical International Joint Laboratory ( 2016 ), Henan Provincial Bio-Nanomedicine Discipline Innovation and intelligence introduction base ( 2018 ), and approved by the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology in November 2020 to build a key laboratory in Henan Province .
