The latest situation of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic as of 24:00 on March 9

From 0-24:00 on March 9, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 5 new confirmed cases, all of which were imported cases (2 in Shanghai, 1 in Henan, 1 in Guangdong, and 1 in Shaanxi) Cases); no new deaths; 3 new suspected cases, all imported cases (all in Shanghai).

On the same day, 8 new cases were cured and discharged, and 206 close contacts were released from medical observation.

There are currently 172 confirmed cases imported from abroad (no severe cases), and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on March 9, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 177 confirmed cases (no severe cases), a total of 85,194 cured and discharged cases, and a total of 4,636 deaths.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 16 new asymptomatic infections (all imported from abroad); no cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day; 11 medical observations were lifted on the same day (10 imported from overseas); 251 cases of asymptomatic infections were under medical observation (all imported from abroad).

A total of 12,145 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
