From 0-24 on April 2, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 26 new confirmed cases, including 19 imported cases (9 in Fujian, 4 in Shanghai, 3 in Guangdong, Beijing 1 case, 1 case in Jiangsu, 1 case in Yunnan), 7 local cases (all in Yunnan); no new deaths; no new suspected cases.

On the same day, 11 new cases were cured and discharged, and 421 close contacts were released from medical observation.

There are currently 178 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 2 severe cases) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on April 2, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 203 confirmed cases (including 2 severe cases), a total of 85,413 cured and discharged cases, and a total of 4,636 deaths.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 24 new cases of asymptomatic infections, including 19 imported from abroad and 5 domestically (all in Yunnan); 8 confirmed cases (7 imported from overseas) on the same day ); 11 cases of medical observation were released on the same day (all imported from abroad); 300 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation (266 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 12,586 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
