Health Commission: 18 newly confirmed cases, 4 of which are in Liaoning

From 00:00 on May 15th to 24:00, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 18 new confirmed cases, including 14 imported cases (5 in Guangdong, 3 in Yunnan, 2 in Shanghai, and Inner Mongolia) 1 case, 1 case in Henan, 1 case in Sichuan, 1 case in Shaanxi), 4 local cases (all in Liaoning); no new deaths; 1 new suspected case, imported from abroad (in Shanghai).

Six new cases were cured and discharged on the same day, and 336 close contacts were released from medical observation.

There are currently 262 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 1 severe case) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on May 15, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 291 confirmed cases (including 1 severe case), a total of 85,920 cured and discharged cases, and a total of 4,636 deaths.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 19 new cases of asymptomatic infections, of which 14 were imported from abroad and 5 were imported locally (all in Liaoning); 2 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day (all imported from abroad) ); 12 cases of medical observation were released on the same day (10 cases imported from abroad); 346 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation (328 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 13,345 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
