Guizhou Renhuai released "Industry Guide" for Maotai Liquor

At the meeting, Renhuai officially released the "Interim Measures for the Construction and Management of China's Maotai Liquor Core Production Area (Renhuai)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures")

Zhao Hong, director of the Renhuai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce, introduced that in January this year, Renhuai formulated the "Measures", which defined the style of wine in the core production area, the laws and regulations that must be complied with in the production and operation of Maotai-flavor liquor, The technical standards implemented by the enterprise, the use of production area logos, and the enterprise access standards, etc.

In terms of enterprise management, the "Measures" stipulate that the sauce-flavored wine produced in the core production areas must use the unique Renhuai Nuo sorghum and high-quality wheat as raw materials.

In terms of production area certification, the "Measures" propose that the most stringent spatial control and protection should be implemented for the protected areas of Moutai geographical indication products; enterprises in the production area have passed the environmental impact assessment and comprehensive treatment of liquor enterprises, and met the pollution discharge requirements, and the product production process complies with " "Technical Specifications for the Production of Daqu Sauce Wine in Renhuai Production Area" can be certified as a production area enterprise after review and listed in the corresponding directory

At the production area construction management level, the "Measures" also clearly stipulated production area management agencies, policy support, production licenses, environmental protection requirements, factor guarantees, resource protection, publicity and promotion, and cultural construction

It is understood that in September 2021, at the National Light Industry Science and Technology Innovation and Development Conference, Renhuai was awarded the title of "China Maotai Liquor Core Production Area (Renhuai)", which is the first liquor production in the country named after Maoxiang liquor.
