According to news on August 31, with the widening bid-ask spread, the import negotiations in the Asian plasticizer market have reached a deadlock

As raw material prices are still high, plasticizer sellers have been rushing to increase their quotations to protect their profits; and buyers are reluctant to make promises when prices in the Chinese domestic market continue to fall

However, market participants are still optimistic that the overall sentiment in the Asian plasticizer market may recover in September, as import negotiations will heat up before the traditional peak demand season in the early fourth quarter

A seller said that demand for plasticizers is also expected to rise before the Chinese National Day holiday in early October
