Germany's Ministry of Economics recently said it expects to introduce relevant laws and regulations on coal removal by the end of this year and negotiate
with utility RWE.
It is reported that the company hopes to receive billions of euros worth of subsidies in coal removal, and negotiations are currently proceeding
constructively.
According to a recommendation made by a committee appointed by the government earlier this year, Germany will completely phase out coal as an energy source by 2038, a move that will significantly affect
such operators, including RWE, Germany's largest power producer.
The ministry said negotiations with RWE were in their final stages
