Vegetables and fruits are rich in a variety of beneficial components, such as vitamin C, dietary fiber, pectin, etc.
, which are an important source of minerals and vitamins for
the human body.
The "Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2022)" recommends that adults consume no less than 300g of vegetables per day, of which 1/2 of fresh dark vegetables and 200-350g
of fruits.
In modern life, how can we go without fruits and vegetables for a day?
But often the truth is this: fruits and vegetables are bought less and not enough to eat, and if they are stockpiled more, they face the risk of spoilage, even if spoilage does not occur, long-standing fruits and vegetables will also have nutritional discounts, such as less water, not fresh, antioxidant nutrient destruction, mold breeding and other nutritional losses and food safety problems
.
So, how do you preserve vegetables and fruits? The correct way to open it is as follows:
1.
Green leafy vegetables
Surface moisture is dried and stored
For green leafy vegetables in general supermarkets, merchants may spray some water
on the surface of green leafy vegetables in order to keep them fresh.
Note that in this case, it should be placed in a cool, dry and ventilated place to dry the surface moisture, and the watery vegetables are easy to freeze in the refrigerator, especially green leafy vegetables
.
The key to the preservation of leafy vegetables is to lock water, most leafy vegetables are cold-loving vegetables, suitable for storage at 0-4 °C, that is, the temperature of the
refrigerator fresh-keeping layer.
Before putting it in the refrigerator, remove the rotten and yellowed leaves, wrap the roots of the dish in kitchen paper, then wrap the vegetables in plastic wrap or a plastic bag, and finally put them in refrigeration
.
However, it should be noted that do not store close to the inner wall of the refrigerator to avoid frostbitten vegetables
.
2.
Rhizomes
Generally, there is no need to put the refrigerator
Sweet potatoes, potatoes, turnips, lotus root, yams and other root vegetables, generally do not need to be put in the refrigerator, as long as the surface moisture is dried into a plastic bag or paper bag, and then stored in a cool and dry place, you can also wrap them in a layer of newspaper stored on the balcony in a dark place, do not direct sunlight, resulting in potatoes and other green, long shoots
.
3.
Seasoning ingredients
Wrap kitchen paper and store in the refrigerator
Condiments such as coriander, green onions, ginger, and garlic can be wrapped in kitchen paper like
vegetables.
Less moisture, such as spring onions, minced garlic, millet spicy, can be directly chopped and frozen, take as you go
.
4.
Mushrooms
Place the handle facing up in a sealed bag for storage
Fresh mushrooms have a short shelf life, you can use kitchen paper towels to absorb excess water on the surface, put the whole unwashed mushrooms in a sealed bag (pay attention to the umbrella handle facing up, otherwise it may be crushed and collapsed), closed and put in the refrigerator to refrigerate
.
If it is dehydrated dried mushrooms, it can be stored for
3-6 months by simply placing it in a cool, dry and ventilated place.
5.
Fruits
Whether it is resistant to release determines the storage method
According to the classification to decide whether to put fruits in the refrigerator, tropical fruits, such as mangoes, bananas, etc.
should not be put in the refrigerator, otherwise it is easy to frostbite, room temperature storage can be
.
Grapes, strawberries, blueberries and other fruits need to be kept in the refrigerator separately and eaten
within 2-3 days.
More resistant fruits, such as apples, pears, oranges, oranges and other fruits, can be placed in a cool and ventilated place without putting them in the refrigerator, but they should not be stored for a long time, easy to dry, volatile moisture, affecting the taste
.
In addition, I want to teach you four precautions:
1
.
Vegetables and fruits are best bought and eaten fresh, and do not spoil for a long time.
2.
If the refrigerator has mold and rotten vegetables and fruits, it should be cleaned up as soon as possible, and fresh vegetables and fruits should not be stored with them to prevent cross-contamination and accelerate the spoilage
of vegetables and fruits.
3.
Cut vegetables and fruits are best packed with plastic wrap and placed in the refrigerator, it is best to eat and cut
freshly.
4.
Vegetable juices and juices cannot replace fresh vegetables and fruits
