NDO – The People’s Committee of Lang Son Province issued a document on January 12 to the People’s Committees of the provinces and central municipalities on the suspension of the acceptance of fresh fruit and vegetable vehicles at various ports in the province, according to VNA .

Specifically, from January 17 to the Spring Festival of Ren Yin Year in 2022, the border ports of Lang Son Province will suspend the acceptance of vehicles transporting fresh fruits and vegetables exported to China to solve the problem of serious detention of freight vehicles at the port
    .

Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, currently only three land and railway ports in Lang Son Province, Friendship, Sesame and Dong Deng, maintain customs clearance activities
    .
Since the end of November, freight vehicles to various border ports in the province have increased rapidly, but the customs clearance capacity of the ports has not improved, and the Xinqing ports of key ports for fruit and vegetable exports are still temporarily closed
    .

According to statistics, at present, only 80 to 100 vehicles are exported through customs clearance at each port
    .
As of January 11, there were 1,721 freight vehicles waiting for customs clearance at the three ports of Friendship, Xinqing and Sesame, including 749 fruit and vegetable vehicles
    .
With the above customs clearance speed, it takes at least 13-15 days to solve the problem of vehicle detention at the port
    .

As China continues to implement the "zero epidemic" strategy and strengthen epidemic prevention and control at border ports, Vietnam's export of goods will still face many difficulties
    .

The Lang Son Provincial People's Committee will continue to take supporting measures, strengthen consultations with relevant Chinese authorities, and resume ports that are temporarily suspending customs clearance as soon as possible, so as to improve customs clearance capabilities
