Foreign media, March 17 news: French feed producers asked the government to ensure the domestic feed industry grains due to the increase in French grain export demand due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict supply
    .

The three-week-old conflict between Russia and Ukraine has disrupted exports of grains from the Black Sea, prompting importers to flock to other suppliers and boosting French milling wheat prices to record highs
    .
As the EU's largest grain producer and exporter, French grain export demand is showing growth, traders said
    .

French feed producers are asking the government to ensure a monthly supply of 800,000 to 1 million tonnes of grain to meet demand during the crisis, which represents the normal monthly consumption of the French feed industry, Chourat said
    .
He said the export market should not compete with the domestic feed market for supplies
    .

In addition, to help absorb soaring costs, feed producers have also asked the government to provide direct assistance to the farming industry and increase the maximum limit on the amount of grain that can be transported by trucks
    .

In other EU member states, Hungary has suspended grain exports, while import-dependent Spain is easing standards for imported corn and boosting grain imports
    .
The EU is also studying proposals to allow farmers to cultivate fallow land as a way to boost domestic production, mainly to fill a supply gap caused by disruptions to Ukraine's sunflower meal exports
    .
