According to Argentine media reports, two more new cases were added after the Argentine General Administration of Customs seized four beef processing plants trying to export unauthorized beef that did not comply with the current 50% export restriction two weeks ago
    .

It is said that two meat processing plants (OFFAL EXP and MADEKA) under investigation forged their declaration forms and packaging labels in order to export unauthorized products to China , totaling 44.
    525 tons
    .

In another case, the meat processing plant plans to export 10% more goods than the permitted quota
    .
Customs officers verified the goods in a warehouse in Campana and investigated Frigorífico Alberdi’s violations
    .
During the inspection, customs officers found additional trays, and nearly 2 tons of minced meat products were not stated on the declaration form
    .

Their actions are the same as those previously investigated and dealt with by Login Food, Frigorífico Alberdi, Black Bamboo and Exportmeat.
They all violated Argentina’s Decree No.
408/2021 and exported unlicensed beef products to China
    .

These strict export control measures came into effect when the Argentine government decided to intervene in the beef market in May last year.
At the end of the month, Silvia Traverso, the person in charge, condemned 19 meat processing plants to eliminate “fraudulent export business”.
The total fines imposed by the company are close to US$6 million
    .
In addition, an audit of 150 meat processing plants has been added, among which "9 out of 10 controlled companies have found insufficient invoices and/or undeclared operations"
    .

The government decided to extend Decree No.
    408/2021 to October 31.
The Decree stipulates a series of restrictions on the export of beef, such as prohibiting the export of certain beef cut products that are considered popular, and restricting the export volume of the categories that are permitted to be exported.
, Reduced to 50% of last year’s exports
    .

The Argentine beef industry has been dissatisfied with the local government’s export ban, believing that it will affect the development of its industry, especially the loss of the Chinese market
    .
Official data show that in 2020, Argentina exported about 897,500 tons of beef with a total value of about US$2.
7 billion, of which 75% of the beef went to China
    .
After the implementation of the ban, Russia and Uruguay have increased their export efforts to seize China's share
    .

      Russia:

In contrast to Argentina, in January 2020, China began to open its market to Russian beef
    .
According to a research report published by the Agricultural Products Export Development Center of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, in the first eight months of 2021, Russia exported 13,100 tons of beef to China, which is more than three times that of the same period last year (4,200 tons)
    .

According to reports, in the first eight months of 2021, the Chinese market’s share of total Russian beef exports increased by 16% to 64%
    .
In August 2021, at an annual rate, Russia’s beef exports to China increased by 1,000 tons (an increase of 82%) to 2,100 tons
    .

      Uruguay:

China has been consolidated as the main destination for Uruguay's meat exports, as the export value of this product reached 935 million U.
    S.
dollars between January and August this year
    .
"Maintaining the current export rate, the export of meat products to China may reach 1.
    4 billion U.
    S.
    dollars," they predict
    .

Uruguay is currently actively promoting a free trade agreement with China, which will further enhance its advantage in exporting to the Chinese market after the agreement is reached
