Sinochem News, March 7, according to World Energy: Finland-based start-up HydRe plans to develop 50 hydrogen stations across the country by 2030, hoping to create a storm in the hydrogen transportation market
These sites are primarily aimed at the heavy-duty transportation market and will provide clean hydrogen at locations such as logistics centers and major freight highways
Helsinki, Turku and Tampere have been designated as sites for HydRe's first sites, which are expected to be fully operational by 2024
The government hopes the hydrogen fueling stations in Helsinki, Turku and Tampere will enable early trucking and shipping companies to implement hydrogen-powered vehicles
High-capacity stations will also be available for public and light vehicle use
Each hydrogen refueling station will only provide locally produced clean hydrogen, a move that will benefit the local hydrogen economy
