Finnish Power Grid said Friday that contracts had been signed
for the first two sections of the Forest Line, a major north-south power corridor.
The Forest Line is a €100 million electricity corridor connecting northern and southern Finland that will traverse 310 kilometres
of dense forests in Finland.
Finnish Power Grid says the project aims to replace aging grid facilities and transport clean electricity from wind farms in the north to power demand centers
in the south.
