There is a tendency to postpone childbirth around the world, especially in developed countries
There is a tendency to postpone childbirth around the world, especially in developed countries
Fumiko Hoeft et al.
The purpose of this research is threefold: (a) While systematically controlling the potential influencing factors/confounding factors, it also examines the relationship between age and the reading ability of offspring; (b) Researching previously known cognitive language precursors and neuroanatomy The relationship between science and its maturation process and language and reading; and (c) through the use of brain atlas, public data sets, and offspring diffusion imaging data to identify evidence of convergence and understand the functional role of neuroanatomical findings in this research

The study conducted longitudinal neuroimaging studies on 51 children from kindergarten to third grade, and initially explored the relationship between PatAGE, offspring reading and brain structure
The results of the whole brain longitudinal voxel morphometry and region of interest (ROI) analysis

Cluster analysis results are significantly related to the age of childbirth (PatAGE-cluste; i, for example, left posterior thalamus), including brain atlas, public databases, and white matter fiber tract imaging of the PatAGE-related thalamus region using subject-specific diffusion imaging data
Cluster analysis results are significantly related to the age of childbirth (PatAGE-cluste; i, for example, left posterior thalamus), including brain atlas, public databases, and white matter fiber tract imaging of the PatAGE-related thalamus region using subject-specific diffusion imaging data
The results showed that a larger PatAGE was significantly associated with worse reading, and after controlling for some confounding factors (including family factors and cognitive language reading precursors), it explained another 9.
These findings contrast and supplement the current literature on the left temporal parietal and occipito-temporal areas of phonetic and orthographic processing of reading
