Recently, Europe's largest battery energy storage system Pillswood project was put into operation
near Hull in the northeast of England.

The system is managed by Harmony Energy Developed by Limited, using Tesla's 2-hour Megapack system, it is capable of storing up to 196 MWh of electricity
in a single cycle.
The system's electricity can power around 300,000 UK homes for two hours
.
The site is adjacent to Creyke in the UK's National Grid The Beck substation, which is currently the access point to Dogger Bank, the world's largest offshore wind farm, will be operational
in summer 2023.

Harmony Energy said the energy storage project enables the State Grid to maximize the efficiency
of wind farms by reducing the time they need to curtail wind farms due to supply-demand imbalances or network constraints.
The company said the project will be operated
through Tesla's algorithmic trading platform, Autobidder.
