    Recently, esomeprazole has been approved for a new indication for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease
    in adolescents aged 12 years and above.

    As a proton pump inhibitor, in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, different types of esomeprazole have different indications!
    Erosive reflux esophagitis

    Adult domestic usage: oral:
    40mg once a day for four weeks
    .
    For patients with uncured esophagitis or persistent symptoms, additional four weeks of treatment are recommended [1].


    Injection: For patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease who cannot be taken orally, it is recommended to inject intravenously or intravenously infusion of this product 20-40mg
    once a day.
    Patients with reflux esophagitis should be used 40 mg once
    daily.
    This product should usually be used for a short time (no more than 7 days), and should be converted to oral therapy as soon as possible [2].


    Adult FDA Usage: Oral:
    Esomeprazole magnesium sustained-release capsules are suitable for short-term treatment (4-8 weeks)
    of symptom relief and healing in patients diagnosed with erosive esophagitis after diagnosis.
    For patients who do not recover after 4 to 8 weeks of treatment, the addition of esomeprazole magnesium sustained-release capsules for 4 to 8 weeks may be considered [3].


    Injections: The recommended adult dose is 20 mg or 40 mg intravenously (at least 3 minutes) or intravenously (10-30 minutes) once daily for up to 10 consecutive days [4].


    Long-term maintenance therapy
