EPL, Colgate-Palmolive launch first recyclable toothpaste tube to Indian market

Specialty packaging manufacturer EPL Limited (Essel Propack Limited, headquartered in India and unknown until last year) and Colgate-Palmolive India have announced that they will be partnering for Colgate-Palmolive's two main Indian toothpaste brands - Colgate-Palmolive Active Salts and Colgate Vedshakti, launch recyclable toothpaste tubes
.

EPL's Platina tube is an eco-friendly laminated tube with a barrier resin content of less than 5%
.
It offers superior function and performance, is a fully sustainable and fully recyclable hose, consistently meets or exceeds the most stringent APR HDPE key guidelines, is globally recognized by APR, and is RecyClass certified as 100% recyclable
.
The tube has an integrated shoulder inner barrier liner that can be recycled in the HDPE recycling stream
.

Colgate-Palmolive, the first oral care brand in India to roll out the initiative nationwide, said this first set of recyclable tubes was the starting point for Colgate-Palmolive's conversion to 100% recyclable tubes
