    Researchers don't yet know if KL-VS HET-plus protects the body from aging-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD); In the previous study, entitled "Association of Klotho-VS HeterozygosityWith Risk of Alzheimer's Disease in Individuals Who Carry APOE4", researchers from Stanford University and other institutions looked for genetic factors that could reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease by interacting with APOE4 (lipoprotein e4) alloty. The hybrid state of KL-VS may protect the body from age-related esopaedic changes and cognitive decline, but researchers aren't sure if it protects people carrying APOE4 from AD.
