Elkem Silicones Jiangxi project laid the foundation

On December 8th, Elkem Silicones held a groundbreaking ceremony
for a 35,000-ton/year special sealant and MQ resin project at Jiangxi Xinghuo production base.

Elkem Silicones said that the two major projects in China reflect Elkem Silicones' confidence in the development of specialty sealants and silicone pressure sensitive adhesive businesses in China and other Asia-Pacific regions, and will further enhance Elkem Silicones' competitiveness and influence
in the industry.

Zhang Lijun, senior vice president of Elkem Silicones, said that China is the world's largest sealant production and consumption market, with the improvement of residents' consumption level and the enhancement of consumers' awareness of health, environmental protection and safety, the market demand for special sealants will maintain rapid growth
in the future.
Especially in the construction and energy markets, green sealants will have huge space
for consumption upgrading and alternative development.

Yan Chen, Vice President of Elkem Silicones Asia Pacific, said that the project will optimize the production process, significantly shorten the production time, shorten the delivery time to customers in the Asia-Pacific region, and improve the reliability
of supply.
In addition, the project will strictly control and reduce emissions, reduce waste generation, and achieve win-win
economic and environmental benefits.
