Egypt, Israel and EU sign tripartite gas cooperation agreement

　　On June 15, Egyptian Oil and Mineral Resources Minister Tariq Mullah, Israeli Energy Minister Karina Elharal and EU Energy Executive Kadri Simson signed a tripartite agreement on natural gas cooperation in Cairo
.
The agreement allows Israel to export natural gas to the EU through Egypt
.
The Israeli government said the signed memorandum of understanding would also encourage European companies to invest in natural gas projects in Israel and Egypt
.
The Memorandum of Agreement is valid for three years and can be renewed for a further two years
.
